If you declined to let DayMap access Calendar on the first launch you will need to follow these steps to access your events.
Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy. Click on the Privacy tab and then on Calendars. A list of apps should appear at the right which have requested access to your calendars. Check the checkbox next to DayMap in the list of apps.
You should now be able to show Apple Calendar events in DayMap.

So, when I allowed DayMap to show my Apple Calendar events, that's exactly what it showed: "Apple Calendar Events." I'm assuming that is not what was in mind. ;-). Is it because a lot of my ACEs are imported from Google calendars or is something not syncing correctly?
Hi Amy,
The importing from Google could be the issue. We have not run into this problem before so we will look into it and get back to you.

Amy,
You may need to enable Calendar for DayMap in System Preferences.
Go to: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Calendars > DayMap
Make sure the box is enabled and that should take care of your issue.

I have enabled access to my calendar in the security prefs, but none of my many apple cal events are showing up in Day Map. Is there another step? And is it possible to have the day map events show up in the apple cal? And how do you set a time for the day map events, i.e. 9 am - 12 pm?
